monday november 3

so...for today...

make sure last week's entries are complete (me to we to pg 91) (clean - up day recap) and go on:

do all of this in one blog...we'll call it the november 3rd blog a(respond to the parts marked *)

- *sum up (or update) the major event you have recently been involved with....halloween dance....haunted house...remembrance day....halloween for hunger...coffee house...pumpkin carving

- *look forward to Christmas......and our ten days of festive fun....what would you like to see happen ..what events etc?/suggestions?
btw....you could be thinking of ways you, your friends, this class could participate in idols (last year's class put on a "stomp" and made some pretty entertaining videos
fyi ...nov 15 is the ingersoll santa claus parade and it would be great to see the spirit squad bringing the festive spirit - idci style - to the good folks o'ingersoll

- * read Richard Gere's take on the Dalai Lama...pp 92-94...he ends by saying:"there are no true monsters; we're all redeemable and we're all in this together. I'm constantly amazed by the number of times the people I may be diametrically opposed to politically, who seem to have a totally different worldview from mine, someone I may even take to be an enemy, how often we end up doing extraordinary things together to help the world. You have to be able to quiet yourself a little bit to be able to listen."....... think of a time when you didn't think you would be able to get along with someone because of some preconceived notion of who they were or what they believed and you were able to overcome those barriers...explain how that went

-fyi...we/you will be facilitating the safe schools play on nov 26th..this will require some serious prep work ahead of that date

- fyi ...mid-term marks are due next week and you will be asked this week to justify a mid-term grade for yourself.....think back...where have you led?

- reminder..bracelets are selling well...keep making them

Mr. McGuchan:
I looked on my Ingersoll Calender of events and it says that the Santa Claus parade is on the last Saturday of November NOT November 15th. Just thought i should let you know :)!
